Growing by Degrees is a community-led task force formed to support the development of a broader university presence in Barrie. The task force helps expand university programs at Georgian College through creating links to Barrie businesses and organizations, though new partnerships and through advocacy and awareness efforts. Support the task force and help make Barrie the best place in Canada to live, work, play and study.

Planning for university expansion in Barrie, Ontario

Growing By Degrees is working to develop a long term plan for additional post-secondary university programs in Barrie Ontario. University programs are a vital part of the economic development of our community and will benefit Barrie through skills training, research and business formation. We anticipate the construction of new buildings and the acquisition of specialized equipment to support the expansion of university degree programs at Georgian College.

Growing By Degrees brings together major public and private sector organizations including the City Of Barrie, Georgian College, the Simcoe County District School Board, Royal Victoria Hospital, the County of Simcoe, representatives of Barrie's business community and citizens to work together to expand university degree programs in Barrie, Ontario.
