Barrie's Next Top Model Contest

Starting in February 2007

Every young girl dreams of becoming a model, to be able to walk the runway's of Paris or to grace the cover for a top fashion magazine. But, for most, the dream rarely becomes a reality. The truth is, the modelling and acting world is a tough one. Young hopefuls need to understand what it takes to be a successful model/actor in todays industry. Barrie's Next Top Model Contest helps to teach the necessary skills and knowledge to young girls between the ages of 14-19 who have always dreamed of becoming a model. Finalists compete in four fashion and modelling related challenges, all performed in front of a live audience and critiqued by a professional panel of judges. Held in the Kozlov Shopping Centre in Barrie each week, the centre fountain area of the mall is transformed into a mock set according to the challenge taking place. We are starting our 4th season in February, and we plan on making this one our best yet! Barrie's Next Top Model is also sponsored by top model agent Elmer Olsen. Winners will have the opportunity to meet with Elmer on the final day and a chance to sign on with one of Canada's biggest agencies!
